Help Local Wildlife as a Volunteer for
the Trust
Volunteers are invaluable to our work -
without them we would not be able to do half as much! Volunteers
bring new ideas and unique skills and knowledge to the Trust and
their commitment and belief in our work strengthens us as an
organisation.
There are many ways you can help us, as our
network of over 350 volunteers have already discovered - practical
conservation work, inspiring the next generation about wildlife or
helping at events are just some of them.
Volunteering is a rewarding experience allowing you to develop
skills and interests, to meet new people and above all, to
contribute to the conservation of some of Warwickshire's most
valuable natural areas.
We would really welcome your help as a volunteer at any of our
sites - whether it is for an odd day or a few hours on a regular
basis. Whatever time you can donate will make an important
contribution to our overall work.
We aim to encourage people from all walks of life, with a variety
of life experiences to come and volunteer and become involved in
our work. Some roles do require specific skills or experience but
most allow you to learn as you go along, after receiving
appropriate on-the-job training and guidance from a staff member or
experienced volunteer.
You do not need to be a member to volunteer. We recognise that
people offer their support and help in a variety of different ways.
Some people give donations of money; some people offer their time
as volunteers. We are extremely grateful for your support,
whichever way you give it.
We look forward to welcoming you to the network of volunteers who
help us to work for a Warwickshire rich in wildlife, which is
valued and enjoyed by people!

The Small Things Count
How many times have you come across small
gestures of generosity, the help and support that changed
somebody's life? We all experience and know about it. The nice
neighbour who holds our spare keys in case we get locked out, the
person on the bus or in the queue who starts an encouraging
conversation on a bad day, the many nice smiles strangers give us,
the neighbour who takes our parcels in when we are at work.
All these little acts of kindness happen all around us, yet we
often only hear about the many negative things. Wouldn't we enjoy
reading about amazing little gestures that change the world - The
amazing ways that many people volunteer without realizing they are
a volunteer! Let us know your stories now.
