BBC's Breathing Places Campaign was set up
in 2005 to encourage people to do one thing to help nature on their
doorstep.
Whatever you want to do, everyone can get
involved and every project makes a real difference. You don't need
a lot of space or time or money either. Just the desire to create
something positive and the will to make it happen.
Bee
part of it
Bee Part Of It will be helping all of
our bees by creating 40,000 new bee-friendly wildflower rich
spaces.
"It's very easy for all of us to do
our bit for honeybees, bumblebees and other pollinating insects by
growing the sort of plants and flowers they love - either in our
gardens or in pots on windowsills or balconies. To have bees visit
your garden is a cause for real celebration." - Kate
Humble, Springwatch

This year Breathing Places are going to be
planning lots of events and activities around 2010,
International Year of Biodiversity.

We have 'exciting things up our
sleeves to mark the year. For a start we'll be doing more to help
school children get involved in doing one thing for biodiversity at
their schools.'
If you would like some help in finding out
how you can do one thing for biodiversity at your school please
contact the Learn and Discover Team to find out more about how they
can help with your school ground
developments.
Alternatively come and enjoy one of
Warwickshire Wildlife Trusts Breathing Spaces.
For more information have a look at our Events Guide for up and coming
workshops.
