Bat and Moth Spectacular on Saturday 14th August at Brandon Marshopal_moth

Time: 7pm - onwards

Everyone is welcome to join us for the chance to discover the nocturnal winged world! Meet in the classroom for an introductory talk on moths by local expert Dave Grundy followed by an introduction to bats. Have a close up encounter with live moth specimens from the Midlands before heading out onto the reserve to set moth traps and hunt for bats.

The walk will end about 9pm but everyone is welcome to stay later to check the traps throughout the night (until midnight, or later) in order to survey the different species found at Brandon Marsh. Remember to wrap up against the weather, wear sturdy shoes and bring a torch!
Location: Brandon Marsh Nature Centre, Brandon Lane, Coventry, CV3 3GW.
Please meet in the car park and ask for the gate code at the point of booking

Cost: Free. This is an OPAL sponsored event in association with the Garden Moth Scheme and Warwickshire Wildlife Trust

To book contact: 024 7630 2912
