Sowe Valley Volunteers
Do you live near Coventry's River Sowe? Would
you like to help keep it a clean, green space and do your bit for
nature? If so, then join us for a fun, healthy day out along the
river.

Sowe Valley Volunteers currently go out on
the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month covering the stretch from
Clifford Bridge Road to Wyken Slough. No previous experience is
necessary as full training is provided. You just need to wear old
clothes and sturdy footwear that you don't mind getting dirty and
bring a packed lunch, enthusiasm and a sense of humour! Please also
bring wellies or waders if you have them. We provide tools,
personal protective equipment, tea and biscuits!
We start at 10.00am and finish about
3.30pm
Pick ups are available as follows:
2nd Friday of the month: Moat House
Leisure Centre @ 9.45am
4th Friday of the month: Tesco car
park, Walsgrave @ 9.45am
STOP PRESS: We
are currently hoping to start a similar volunteer group that will
cover the river south of Clifford Bridge Road all the way to
Stonebridge meadows. If you would like to be involved with this new
group please contact us with your details - use the links to the
left.
