How can I get involved?

The project runs until August 2012 and offers people the opportunity to get involved in the following ways:

Volunteer with us - help to clean up the river, remove invasive species, plant native species and create new habitats.
Find out more about the Sowe Valley Volunteers here.

Explore with us
- play, learn and discover the Sowe valley and the wonderful creatures that live there through children's activities and community events.

Learn with us
- learn new skills in species identification, how to look after your river, how to lead conservation sessions and how to run children's activities.

Walk with us
- come and join us or the existing walking groups along the Sowe for a river side ramble.

If you are interested in getting involved with any of the activities, please contact Anna Squires for further details and an informal chat on either 024 7630 2912 or 07818 579306 or email anna.squires@wkwt.org.uk.

We are especially keen to hear from local residents along the Sowe Valley.

In addition, we are keen to hear from any community groups, schools or other groups in the Sowe Valley area who would be interested in getting involved in the project.

You can also tell us your ideas for other ways you may want to get involved with the project (e.g. arts, media) by contacting Anna Squires on 024 7630 2912 or 07818 579306 or alternatively email anna.squires@wkwt.org.uk.
